Take That, George Michael & Emeli Sande confirmed to perform at Olympics closing ceremony

Take That, George Michael and Emeli Sande are just some of the stars that have been confirmed to play at the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony.

The much-loved boyband are expected to again reunite with Robbie Williams for the one-off performance, whilst the former Wham star, who had previously expressed his desire to appear at the event, will sing live for the first time since his recent battle with pneumonia.

The Who’s Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend will also be appearing at the concert, which will be held at London’s Olympic Park on August 12, while supermodels Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are also scheduled to attend for a best of British fashion display.

The two and a half hour show, which is predicted to reach a TV audience of over four billion, will be created by Kim Gavin, best-known for his production of Take That’s The Circus tour.
