Take That to release new album in 2014

Mark Owen has confirmed that Take That will record a new album next year.

The British pop group's last record came in the shape of 2010's 'Progress', which hit No.1 in numerous countries upon release.

Their next potential offering is highly anticipated and Owen told Real Radio that they are looking at releasing an album in 2014. He said:

"We're planning on going in and making a new record next year so that's something to look forward to."

When asked if they will tour the album next year, Owen said: "Maybe, I'm not sure we'll quite get a record down and then go on the road. It depends when we get back together whether it happens quickly or it takes a bit of time."

As previously reported, Gary Barlow had suggested last year that a new album could surface in 2013, saying: "I have got a lot of Take That stuff next year and then, hopefully, a tour the year after. A new studio album feels right for us, it has always been in our minds."
