Teen patient 'so excited' after Taylor Swift's personal visit

Country-pop crossover star Taylor Swift recently dropped by the paediatric section of New York City hospital and spent a total of 5 hours at the health care centre, chatting with one huge fan in particular.

17-year-old Shelby Huff, who is at the hospital suffering from aplastic anemia, told the NY Daily News that the 'I Knew You Were Trouble' beauty was incredibly friendly and personable, and that she had so many things to talk about with her during their exciting meeting:

"It was really exciting, I had no idea she was coming until the morning. I was totally nervous about it. I was shocked I didn't know what to say."

Huff's mother, Jennyfer, added that it was heartwarming to see Swift making so much time for her daughter as it really made her day: "She was so great at starting conversation. She was so down to earth. She was so excited she started crying."

Swift, meanwhile, is currently enjoying a week of painting and shared a snapshot of her latest artistic creation via Instagram, which she accompanied with the caption: "So far this week, all I want to do is paint and all I want to paint are watercolor flowers."
