'I Knew You Were Trouble' superstar Taylor Swift has revealed why she always wears red lipstick. 

Speaking to People magazine about her look and personal sense of style, the beauty confessed that she just thinks her face looks 'right' when her lips are scarlet: "I guess I just think my face looks worse without it. That's pretty much the only rationale behind it."

The hitmaker went onto add that she always aims to mix up her style, but seems to always gravitate back to her trademark look: "I'll go through different phases with makeup and always try new things. Except I never really get too far from red lipstick, do I? I don't have an excessive amount (of red lipstick)! I just find one I like and use it. Right now [I'm using] Dragon Girl by NARS."

Speaking at the Keds Styles Icons event in California recently, the sensation explained that she loves the classic look and rarely strays from it: "I like to wear pearl earrings, I like red lips. I figure if I stick to classics I won't have as many cringe-worthy moments looking back 25 years from now."
