Taylor Swift sends "love" to fans after Thailand show is cancelled over political unrest

Taylor Swift has sent well-wishes to her fans in Thailand after a gig there was cancelled due to the country's political turmoil.

The US singer was due to perform in Bangkok on June 9, but promoter BEC-Tero Entertainment confirmed that the show will now not be being ahead.

Thailand has been engaged in political conflict since November and last week the country's armed forces staged a coup.

Swift herself took to Twitter to express sympathy with her fans in the country, saying:

"I'm sending my love to the fans in Thailand. I'm so sad about the concert being cancelled."

Refunds can be collected from Thaiticketmajor booths between May 29 and June 30.
