Taylor Swift has been added to the MTV VMAs line-up.

The singer and musician will perform at the event in Los Angeles on August 24.

She confirmed the news whilst appearing on the Tonight Show on Wednesday (August 13).

It will be her fourth time she has performed at the VMAs and there is speculation that she could debut a new single.

Swift is joined by the likes of 5 Seconds of Summer, Usher and Iggy Azalea on the bill.

The '22' star meanwhile is due to host a live webchat with fans on August 15.
