Taylor Swift has suggested that she has stayed away from men since dating Harry Styles.

The US star and the One Direction enjoyed a high-profile fling in late 2012 before splitting after a few weeks.

Speaking in a new interview with Rolling Stone, Swift said that she has been enjoying the single life ever since her liaison with Styles.

Speaking about new album '1989', she said: "Different phases of your life have different levels of deep, traumatising heartbreak. And in this period of my life, my heart was not irreparably broken. So it's not as boy-centric of an album, because my life hasn't been boycentric."

Referring to her life since Styles, Swift added: "Like, have not gone on a date. People are going to feel sorry for me when you write that. But it's true."

The singer meanwhile added that she often gets asked out by movie stars via e-mail.

She said: "Seventy percent of the time, when a guy asks me out, it'll just be a random e-mail."

Swift's new album '1989' meanwhile will be released in the UK on October 28.
