Taylor Swift covers Vance Joy in Live Lounge session

Taylor Swift has covered a Vance Joy song on BBC Radio 1.

The musician performed a Live Lounge set for the UK radio network today (October 9).

The US star ran through a cover of Vance Joy's 'Riptide' as well as performing an acoustic version of her track 'Shake It Off'.

Speaking to host Fearne Cotton, Swift also suggested that some big news will come soon regarding her upcoming '1989' album release.

She said: "Something is happening in five days so keep watching stuff."

Talking meanwhile about Labrinth's recent Live Lounge cover of 'Shake It Off', Swift said:

"That was everything to me, I was obsessed with it! It was so amazing because when you have someone cover your song and do it really well, it's the most amazing feeling."

Swift will release her new album '1989' on October 27.
