Taylor Swift previews new song 'Out of the Woods'

Taylor Swift has given fans a taste of a new track called 'Out of the Woods'.

The singer is set to release the song via iTunes on October 14 and it was given a short airing during Good Morning America today (October 13).

A video meanwhile was also uploaded today to Swift's YouTube page in which she said the track represents the excitement yet frantic anxiety unstable relationships can create.

Swift said: "I wanted to makes sure the songs sounded exactly the way the emotions felt. This was a relationship where I was kind of, living day to day, wondering where it was going, if it was going to go anywhere, if it was going to end the next day.

"It was a relationship where you, kind of, never feel like you’re standing on solid ground."

'Out of the Woods' will feature on Swift's upcoming new album '1989', which will be released on October 27.
