Taylor Swift reveals who she first played her new album to

Superstar Taylor Swift is gearing up to release her highly anticipated new album '1989' and revealed that the two people outside of her team that got to hear the record first were touring buddy Ed Sheeran and close gal-pal Lorde.

Speaking to 2DayFM in Sydney, Australia, the 'Shake It Off' beauty admitted that British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is someone she always shares her new unheard material with as she respects his opinion, but she has also been playing her new music to 'Royals' hitmaker Lorde

"Ed (Sheeran) was one of the first people I played it for and also Lorde - my friend Ella - is another person... I really respect their opinions so when they have a favourite song I pay attention to that."

"Ed has a song that he's obsessed with called 'Bad Blood' and Ella likes a song called 'Welcome To New York', which is awesome. It's awesome because both of them are such amazing songwriters, so when they raise their hand and go, 'that one, that one', it's a very cool moment."

'1989' is due to be officially released later this month on October 27 and she has promised to unveil a new lyric from a different track every day until it drops.
