Taylor Swift on crazy rumours: 'Apparently I have a chest full of ex-boyfriends' belongings'

'Out Of The Woods' beauty Taylor Swift is due to appear on Alan Carr's 'Chatty Man' television show tomorrow night (October 24) at 10pm in the UK and during the interview she opened up about strange things she has read about herself in the press.

When asked by Carr if she has a special place that she goes to write songs, Swift admitted that there isn't one particular location that inspires her although she did reveal a strange rumour about something she supposedly does to get her creative juices flowing:

"I feel like I don't have a special song writing lair. I did read an article once though which said that I had a treasure chest of ex-boyfriends' belongings which I have to go and touch in order to write songs. That was a special day."

Swift went onto add that writing 'Shake It Off' was cathartic because it's a public expression of her dismissal of silly stories that surface in the media:

"So I wrote 'Shake it Off' so that it's like a coping mechanism for when people say things like that, or when I have to Google the person they say I'm dating because I don't know who it is, or when they say I've bought a house in San Diego, and I'm like 'but have I ever been there though?' Those are the things you have no control over."
