Taylor Swift on fame: 'You're publicly humiliated and gossiped about'

Country-pop sensation Taylor Swift has revealed that being a celebrity isn't fun and games all the time, and revealed that you need to have a thick skin in order to make it out unharmed.

Speaking to Alan Carr on his 'Chatty Man' show about her experiences of the downsides to fame, the beauty admitted that it can be really tough to deal with: "You're publicly humiliated, you're gossiped about, people mess with you on a daily basis, it's how the world works."

She went onto add that the more the press mentions her in articles, the more she 'shakes it off' and allows her true personality to shine through because she will get talked about regardless of if the articles are true or sensational lies for entertainment's sake:

"You're going to talk about me, because I'm being myself, you're going to make things up about me, because I'm being myself. I'm just going to be myself more' [dances in her seat]."

Her 'Chatty Man' interview will air in full tomorrow night (October 24) in the UK at 10pm GMT on Channel 4.
