Taylor Swift's '1989' dominates global iTunes charts

Taylor Swift's new album has shot straight to the top of iTunes charts worldwide.

The US star released her latest record '1989' today (October 27) and it is enjoying a huge impact already.

It is No.1 on iTunes lists across the world, including in the UK, the US, Australia and Brazil.

The album features lead single 'Shake It Off', as well as cuts like 'Out of the Woods' and 'Style'.

Billboard meanwhile recently confirmed that they expect '1989' to shift nearly one million units in its first week in the States.

This means that the album would be the highest-selling chart-topper in the US since Justin Timberlake's 'The 20/20 Experience', which shifted 968,000 copies in its first week in 2013.

However, Swift's last two albums - 2012's 'Red' and 2010's 'Speak Now' - both sold over a million in their first weeks (1.21m and 1.05m respectively).
