Taylor Swift's '1989' set for third week at No.1 in US

Taylor Swift's US chart reign looks set to continue for another week.

The singer's new effort '1989' recently enjoyed its second week at the top of the Billboard albums chart.

It is now estimated that the record could sell around 300,000 copies in its third week to ensure it stays at the top of the list.

This means that it should beat off competition from the likes of Foo Fighters' new entry 'Sonic Highways'.

'1989' meanwhile became the fastest selling album in the US since 2002 when it was released at the end of October.

It shifted almost 1.3 million units in its first sales week.
