Taylor Swift has made a new chart record in the US.

The singer recently unleashed her latest track 'Blank Space' and it recently hit No.1 in the country.

It displaced her previous single 'Shake It Off' from the top spot - meaning that Swift is the first female in the Hot 100's history to have displaced herself at No.1.

The song is the star's third No.1 single in the US, following on from 'Shake It Off' and 2012's 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together'.

Her latest album '1989' meanwhile has also secured its third week at No.1 in the US after shifting another 312,000 units.
