Taylor Swift: 'Lorde and Lena Dunham represent the type of woman I want to be'

Taylor Swift has praised the personalities of her famous friends Lorde and Lena Dunham.

The singer is close buddies with the 'Royals' star - real name Ella Yelich-O'Connor - and the Girls creator.

Speaking to Hello!, the US star said that the two celebrities are a source of inspiration for her.

Swift said: "They are the most important things to me right now. Ella and Lena both represent the type of woman I want to be. Ella and I might be in the same job but we don't see each other as anything but two female friends.

"The type of girls I hang out with are strong and know their own mind. But we don't see each other that often as we work so hard. But when we get together it's worth the wait."

Swift meanwhile recently released her new album '1989', which topped charts across the world.
