A video of Taylor Swift giving fans Christmas presents has become a YouTube hit.

The clip, which is entitled Taylor Swift's Gift Giving of 2014, was posted online on December 31.

It sees Swift personally making up gifts and sending them to fans who she specially selected via social networking websites.

At the time of writing, the video has now been viewed over 4.5 million times.

Its blurb reads: "Shortly after the massively success release of 1989, fans on social media began to experience another phenomenon.

"After something that became known as #TayLurking, whereupon every detail of a fan's likes, job, whereabouts was studied intently... A single Santa emoji would appear on their socials. From one Taylor Swift."
