Taylor Swift: 'I'm just very protective of my happiness'

Singer Taylor Swift has opened up about her relationship status and admitted that she's not willing to risk her happiness and fulfilling single life on a date that might turn out to be painful.

When asked by E! News if it's true that she has sworn off dating, the beauty confessed that she hasn't decided against it and instead is just being very selective: "It's not that as much as I'm just very protective of my happiness."

"I found a place in my life that feels really great and I'm not willing to compromise that for just anyone, and so, you can paraphrase that all you want into something very extreme, but they make what I say extreme no matter what I say."

The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' sensation went onto add: "So I'm really happy about the fact that being single doesn't feel like being alone. I have love in my life, I just don't have a relationship, and that feels really natural right now."
