Taylor Swift tour wristbands help save fans' lives after car crash

A Taylor Swift fan says flashing wristbands acquired from the singer's 1989 tour helped save her life.

Following one of the star's gigs in Louisiana recently, Elizabeth Dazzio was driving her sister Caroline and a friend home.

However, she fell asleep at the wheel before crashing, making her unconscious and trapping the other two passengers.

Speaking to WBRZ, Dazzio said that they used flashing wristbands from Swift's gig to alert other road users, with people finally coming to their aid.

She said: "You could smell the gas and smoke. I was just thinking we need to get out of this car."

Swift meanwhile heard the story and posted on Twitter on Thursday (May 28):

"This is unreal. I'm so happy they're okay."
