Taylor Swift allows Apple Music to stream album

The forthcoming Apple Music streaming service will now feature Taylor Swift's latest album '1989'.

The singer recently penned an open letter to the company to criticise their policy of not paying out royalties on songs listened to during users' three-month free trials.

Apple Music later backtracked and confirmed that they would pay out.

This has seemingly changed Swift's mind about allowing '1989' onto the platform, which will launch on June 30.

She said on Twitter on Thursday (June 25): "After the events of this week, I've decided to put 1989 on Apple Music...and happily so.

"In case you're wondering if this is some exclusive deal like you've seen Apple do with other artists, it's not. This is simply the first time it's felt right in my gut to stream my album. Thank you, Apple, for your change of heart."

Swift infamously removed '1989' from Spotify soon after its release last year due to their payment policy.
