Taylor Swift: 'The public could change their minds about me tomorrow'

Taylor Swift admits that her popularity could nosedive at any minute.

The singer is currently one of the hottest properties in mainstream music, with her 2014 record '1989' selling millions worldwide.

Speaking to Vogue Australia, the US star acknowledged the fickle nature of fame, conceding that she may go out of fashion soon.

Swift said: "The public could change their minds about me tomorrow. Things are good right now but I'm never going to be stupid, foolish or ignorant enough to think I have control over the public.

"All I can control is making good music."

The admission follows Swift's comments to NME about possibly taking a break from the limelight.

She said: "I think I should take some time off. People might need a break from me. I’m going to hang out with friends. Write new music. Maybe not write new music. I don’t know."

The singer is currently touring '1989' in North America, with further dates in Asia and Australia planned for later this year.
