Taylor Swift accepts NME Award: 'It's a strange compliment'

'Wildest Dreams' sensation Taylor Swift won the NME Award for International Solo Artist earlier this week and she has now shared her acceptance speech for the gong.

The trophy itself is a gold-coloured fist giving the middle finger and in her video message, the songstress addresses the strange and 'aggressive' design. She says:

"I just wanted to say thank you so much for voting me NME International Solo Artist... I got the award in the mail and I've got to be honest with you about this. When you first open up the box, this feels a little aggressive. Then you get used it, you put it on the shelf and you're like 'you know what, I kind of like it.' Just saying... first impressions were a little weird here, but now I understand it's a strange compliment!"

It has been a big week for Swift as she also scored three GRAMMY Awards, one for Album of the Year, another for Best Pop Vocal Album, and another for Best Music Video (for 'Bad Blood').
