Taylor Swift donates 6,000 books to struggling library
Country-pop superstar Taylor Swift has donated a number of books to a library near to her hometown in Pennsylvania.
The 'You Belong With Me' superstar, often known for her charitable and philanthropic efforts, partnered with publisher Scholastic Inc. and gave 6,000 books to Reading's local library.
Although Swift wasn't able to attend the grand event, her representatives explained that she was set on helping libraries that were struggling economically and decided that the city of Reading could benefit from the generous donation.
The books she gave to the library will be marked with a white star sticker on the spine in hope that her celebrity will encourage more young people to pick up books.
