Country songstress Taylor Swift has shared her excitement ahead of the BRIT Awards tonight (February 20).

The 23-year-old singer is due to play live at the star-studded ceremony at London's 02 Arena, with the star's costume designer Marina Toybina revealing that she will be "creating another circus onstage" following her spectacular Grammys performance.

Swift took to Twitter this afternoon to share her excitement with fans.

The blonde beauty posted: "Cannot. Wait. To perform on the #BRITs2013. It's tonight on ITV at 8pm (sic)."

Yesterday, the songstress took to the social networking site to let fans know she was rehearsing ahead of her stage show at the annual awards ceremony.

Swift is up for the 'International Female Solo Artist' gong at the coveted event tonight.

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran revealed he is preparing to take to the stage at the BRIT Awards this evening after performing a storming duet with music legend Sir Elton John at the Grammys.

The 'Lego House' hitmaker won the prize for 'British Male Solo Artist' at the 2012 ceremony and will be taking to the stage to hand over the prize to this year's winner tonight.

He wrote on Twitter: "I be on my suit and tie shit again today, twice in a month. That's special (sic)." Watch Swift's Grammys performance here:
