Taylor Swift to take 'Red' tour down under

Country-pop superstar Taylor Swift has confirmed that her 'Red' tour will head to Australia for a series of arena dates later this year.

She is currently on the six-month North American jaunt, but will travel to the country in December for 4 concerts. Michael Gudinski’s Frontier Touring Company will promote the shows and a statement about the exciting news was issued earlier today (May 9):

"Swift is a superstar globally and has repeatedly sold out multiple arenas in both Australia and New Zealand. She has proven herself to be one of the most significant female artists of our time and it is a natural progression to see her take her touring to the next level here, with the confirmation that she will play four massive stadium shows across Australia this summer."

Her Australian dates will take place at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium on December 4, Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on December 7, Perth’s NIB Stadium on December 11 and Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium on December 14.

Ticket sales begin on May 21 and a pre-sale will be held on May 14 via frontiertouring.com/taylorswift. Watch Swift make the tour announcement in a video update here:
