Country-pop sensation Taylor Swift has just been nominated for a total of two MTV VMA Awards and has taken to her official Twitter account to tell her fans she won't let anyone snatch the microphone from her this time if she wins.

She is up for 'Video of the Year' for 'I Knew You Were Trouble' along with 'Best Female Video' for the same release and told her 30.9 million followers that after the 2009 incident, which saw rapper West invade the stage (pictured below) and ruin her moment as she went up to collect a prize, she won't stand for any nonsense:

"Two VMA nominations!! If you vote and get us one, I promise to keep a firmer grip on the mic this time ;)"

This year's MTV VMAs will take place on August 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Fans can vote for their favourite artists and bands here. Watch her nominated music video here:
