Taylor Swift breaks Staples Center record

Country-pop superstar Taylor Swift was presented with a special plaque in Los Angeles earlier this week for breaking the record of having the most sold-out shows at the huge Staples Center arena.

Swift has racked up an impressive 11 sold-out concerts at the venue throughout her career and managed to beat the tallies of Justin Timberlake and Madonna. On Tuesday night, she was presented with an inscribed silver wrist cuff along with the commemorative plaque (pictured below).

At last night's gig, the 'I Knew You Were Trouble' songstress treated fans to a live collaboration with Canadian duo Tegan & Sara on their hit single, 'Closer'. She has also performed alongside Cher Lloyd and Sara Bareilles during the LA shows.

Writing on her official Twitter page yesterday, Swift told her fans that the Staples Center shows are very special: "To everyone who came to the show tonight in LA, I adore you. To anyone coming to the next 3 shows, expect more of the unexpected :)" Watch Swift performing live with Bareilles here:
