Taylor Swift sets impressive Nashville songwriting record

Country-pop crossover sensation Taylor Swift has set a record with the Nashville Songwriters Association International this week for her talent in penning hit singles.

The association has confirmed that she will be named 2013's songwriter/artist of the year, which is her sixth win, and her six trophies are set to be displayed in the Taylor Swift Education Center, which opens this coming Saturday (October 12) at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville.

Swift has donated a total of $4 million to the center and the prize she will be given is reserved for Nashville acts that have achieved Top 30 singles.

Meanwhile, she recently announced that her 'Red' tour is coming to the UK and Swift will perform 5 concerts at London's O2 Arena in February with rising stars The Vamps acting as her support. Tweeting about the exciting news, she wrote:

"I am SO beyond excited we get to play 5 shows at O2 in London! UK fans, you are incredible- and I'm so happy @TheVampsband will be opening!" Watch Swift's music video for 'Red' below:
