Taylor Swift chosen to perform at royal charity gala

Taylor Swift has been selected to perform live in front of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at a charity gala next month.

Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton chose the ‘22’ country star to sing at their Centrepoint Winter Whites gala taking place on November 26 at Kensington Palace.

Compared to Swift’s usual arena shows it will prove to be an intimate performance with an audience of just 200 who will have parted with £500 for a ticket to attend the event.

A Centrepoint representative told the Daily Mirror: “'It's a fantastic occasion and hopefully it will raise a lot of money for Centrepoint.”

Prince William is a patron of the charity which raises money to help young homeless people.
