Taylor Swift nominated for 8 American Country Awards

Country-pop crossover superstar Taylor Swift leads the list of this year's American Country Awards nominees with an astounding 8 nods in various categories. 

The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' songstress is up for Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Single of the Year for 'Begin Again', Single of the Year: Vocal Collaboration for 'Highway Don't Care' (ft. Tim McGraw and Keith Urban), Touring Artist of the Year, Music Video of the Year and Female Music Video of the Year for 'Begin Again', and finally Music Video of the Year: Collaboration for 'Highway Don't Care'. 

Also up for awards are Carrie Underwood with 4 nominations, Miranda Lambert with 5 nods, and Kelly Clarkson with 2 nominations. 

The 2013 American Country Awards will be broadcast by FOX on December 10 live from Las Vegas. Swift, meanwhile, is also up for 5 American Music Awards prizes and has been recognised in the following categories: Artist of the Year, Favourite Female Artist (pop/rock), Favourite Album (pop/rock) for 'Red', Favourite Female Country Artist, and Favourite Country Album also for 'Red'. 

The American Music Awards will take place on Sunday, November 24 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.  Watch part of a recent interview with Swift here:
