Taylor Swift "dying" to show fans her new music

Taylor Swift has admitted that she can't wait for her fans to hear her new tunes.

The singer has been busy working on the follow-up to her smash hit 2012 record 'Red', despite being tied up with the album's massive world tour.

Swift previously revealed that she is trying to achieve a different sound on the follow-up to 'Red', which saw the US star add a more contemporary pop vibe to her arsenal.

Speaking to Capital FM, the singer said that she is eagerly awaiting the chance to unleash new tunes to the public, saying:

"Now that I've written a lot of songs for the next album – I'm dying for people to hear it. It's so weird to be still promoting 'Red' - I'm so proud of 'Red' [but] I'm creating something that's so different from 'Red'."

Talking about her new material's sound, Swift said:

"It's so cool because I'm so appreciative of the success of 'Red' but I know that if I want to have success with something else I can't make 'Red 2.0' – I have to make something completely new and something that if you were to hear a song from it you'd go 'Oh, that's not from 'Red', that's from the new one'. So that's what I'm doing."

Swift meanwhile is due to perform five shows at London's O2 Arena in February as she takes her Red Tour to Europe for the first time. Watch Taylor Swift perform live with Ellie Goulding below:
