Taylor Swift: 'People say, 'Oh, Taylor had her heart broken again''

Country-pop crossover beauty Taylor Swift has revealed that while she doesn't always agree with the media's reports on her life, she understands how she is perceived so has to just get on with it and not let if affect her.

Speaking to the New York magazine recently, the 'I Knew You Were Trouble' superstar confessed that people like to portray her as the heartbroken songwriter and she just accepts that's how the public might see her because she can't waste time obsessing over her reputation as it's unhealthy:

"There's a spin on every single celebrity out there. I know that one of my spins is: 'Oh, Taylor's heartbroken. Oh, Taylor fell in love and the guy broke her heart. She's sad all the time, and lonely. I mean, they can say that all they want. Those are real feelings that every single person goes through. I think that it's OK to be mad at someone who hurt you. This isn't about, like, the pageantry of trying to seem like nothing affects you. I'm a songwriter. Everything affects me."

When asked about the kind of content the songs on her upcoming new album might boast, Swift added that she has a lot of material to choose from and is excited to carry on working in the studio on her follow up to 'Red':

"I have a lot of things to draw from emotionally at the moment. But I have to draw from them with a different perspective than on 'Red'. I can't say the same things over and over, you know? I mean, I think it's just all the more important that I don't ever allow myself to coast."
