The Killers beat Carly Rae Jepsen and Taylor Swift to most confusing lyric title

The Killers have come out top in a list of the most confusing lyrics of all time.

Streaming service Blinkbox Music questioned 2,000 people about what they thought was the most head-scratching and weird line in music.

The Killers' 'Human' came out top, with the grammatically dubious 'Are we human, or are we dancer?' bagging the No.1 spot.

In No.2 on the list is the line 'I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus, goo goo g'joob' from the Beatles 'I Am The Walrus'.

Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe' meanwhile is No.5, with the line 'Before you came into my life, I missed you so bad' causing confusion.

Taylor Swift also makes an appearance in the top ten, with the lyric 'Cause you were Romeo, I was a scarlet letter, and my daddy said stay away from Juliet' coming in at No.9.

Blinkbox managing director Mark Bennett commented: "It's true that song lyrics are sometimes as crazy as a box of frogs, but then that's show business. It would be a really boring world if everything was logical and made sense."
