The Killers set to take break before next album

The Killers' drummer Ronnie Vannucci has admitted that they might take some time off before their next record.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the musician said that guitarist Dave Keuning is wanting to spend more time with his 8-year-old son.

The US group released their fourth album 'Battle Born' in 2012 but it seems there could be a bit of a wait before their next one, due to the need for family time. The drummer said:

"Dave’s becoming more of a father and wants more time off."

He added: “We all totally respect that, because making and touring an album takes two-and-a-half-years of solid work around the world – more if it goes really well. Making the songs is the easy part. It’s all the promotion that goes with it that takes you away from your family that’s tough."

To compound the news, singer Brandon Flowers recently said in an interview with NME that he is planning to create a follow-up to his 2010 debut solo record 'Flamingo'.

The band meanwhile played at London's Wembley Stadium last night (June 22), where they performed a special tribute to the iconic venue.

They namechecked a number of legendary acts to have performed at the stadium over the years.
