The Killers to release singles compilation album

Las Vegas rockers The Killers have confirmed that they will be releasing a greatest hits record later this year that will include two brand new tracks.

The band will unveil 'Direct Hits' on November 11 and the new songs are called 'Just Another Girl' and 'Shot At The Night'. The deluxe edition of the record will also feature a demo version of 'Mr Brightside' along with a Calvin Harris remix of 'When You Were Young'.

Speaking to the NME about the impending release, frontman Brandon Flowers explained that it's a great way for the band to wrap up this period of their collective career:

"This record feels like a great way to clean everything up and move onto the next thing."

Referring to the album specifically, Flowers added that the writing process "sort of thew me for a curveball. I’m always writing, it’s like second nature to me now, but I’m always analysing what I’ve got, and doubts can start creeping into your head. But I’m really happy with the songs we’ve got to add to the list."
