The Script: 'We belong in the studio, not on red carpets'

The Script star Danny O'Donoghue has insisted the band aren't ones to enjoy the perks of fame.

The band secured their third UK No.1 album on Sunday (September 21) with 'No Sound Without Silence', but it seems the Irish trio aren't getting carried away.

Speaking in a new interview with The Sun, singer O'Donoghue said that the group keep it simple when it comes to pleasures outside of music.

He said: "We don't live in big houses or mansions, I don't even own a car and we're not ones for red carpets. While other people are doing that we're where we belong, in the studio."

The Irishman is single after splitting from long-time partner Irma Mali in 2012 and he added:

"There's nothing I'd love more than to start a family when the time is right...[At the moment] I'm single and plying the field! I'm dating, I'm just having fun."
