Danny O'Donoghue speaks about The Script's royalties from X Factor

The Voice coach Danny O'Donoghue has spoken of the popularity of his band The Script on rival show X Factor.

O'Donoghue was snapped up to appear on BBC talent show The Voice UK this year, but he told Heat that his band's music is pretty popular on the X Factor.

He said that he has been told that his band's music is amongst the most popular song choices for auditionees. He said:

"Music directors on The X Factor say that The Script are one of the most requested bands for auditionees to sing. Apparently 'Breakeven' is the number one choice."

However, the publishing cheques are not an instant cash boost, with the money coming in two or three year's time. He added:

"It takes about two or three years to really cash in."
