The Script have confirmed a short UK tour due to take place later this year.

The Irish band are due to unveil their new album '#3' on September 10 with the single 'Hall of Fame' set for a September 2 release.

They have now announced three UK tour dates due to take place in September, with the jaunt hitting Glasgow, Manchester and London.

Danny O'Donoghue and co. will play Glasgow's O2 ABC on September 9, Manchester's HMV Ritz on September 10 and the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London on September 12.

Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday August 15 at 9.30am UK time, with sales limited to two tickets per person due to the high demand expected.
