The Queen gives The Script a single hand clap as she visits BBC Radio 1

The Script had the honour of performing for the Queen today (June 7) - but it seems she wasn't too taken by their music.

The royal was touring the BBC as she formally opened their new Broadcasting House premises in London.

She sat down for an intimate performance by The Script in the BBC Radio 1 live studio, hearing one song.

However, she appeared nonplussed by Danny O'Donoghue and co. and gave a meek single hand clip when they finished performing.

The Queen then had a brief chat with the singer before moving on elsewhere.

The 87-year-old British monarch also visited the BBC newsroom before appearing on live TV as she stood behind the clear glass window of their BBC News studio.
