The Wanted's Nathan Sykes on fame 'craziness': 'I'm still learning as I'm only 20'

Heartthrob Nathan Sykes, of The Wanted fame, has opened up about the New Year's resolutions he has made and confessed that although he aimed for 10, he ended up with 30.

In a series of Twitter posts shared earlier today (January 6), the 'Chasing The Sun' star explained that he has high hopes for 2014, but the one thing he wants to do is to stop being so focused on what he reads on social networking sites because it can be very destructive:

"Did the traditional 'list of 10 things to do this year' tonight ... I ended up with 30 things. Gonna be a BIG year on every level!!! So I have my list of things to do in 2014 in front of me. Need to do something first. Remove twitter from the home page on my iphone! Woo!"

"Why?! Twitter can get in your head and the temptation to read bad things is always there staring at you on the home page. I mean, I need to WANT to come on twitter to talk to all of you. Not not come on here silently and read things because it's a habit."

He added: "And when I mean "read things" I mean things that I shouldn't read lol so I'm gonna be more like this and just concentrate on you guys. There is no training for twitter. It's just something you need to figure out how to use it best for you to talk to you amazing people. Just to clear up, I will still be using twitter as much as I did. Just one of my things this year is to stop reading all the negativity."

Sykes then confessed that he still feels as though he's learning how to deal with the parts of his life that are a direct result of fame: "At the end of the day, I'm still only 20 and still young. So there are going to be parts of this craziness that I'm still learning about."
