The Wanted announce hiatus: 'This tour will be our last for a while'

UK based boyband The Wanted have confirmed that when their upcoming 'Word of Mouth' tour comes to an end they will go their separate ways to 'pursue personal endeavours'.

The lads teased big news coming in 2014, but it seems that their fans couldn't have predicted this shocking information. They released a statement on their surprising decision earlier this evening (January 23), which reads:

"This tour will be their last for a while as Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour's conclusion. The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future. They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour."

The 'Chasing The Sun' heartthrobs will kick off their tour on March 14 in Liverpool before it comes to a close a few weeks later in Nottingham on April 1. Once the final date has taken place, The Wanted will split.

Earlier this month, member Max George told his Twitter followers that 2014 has the potential to be "epic": "I get the feeling 2014 is gonna be epic! So lucky to have the special people that I do in my life. You all know who you are."
