The Wanted star Siva Kaneswaran believes their US reality TV show contributed massively to the band's downfall.

The British-Irish group starred in E!'s The Wanted Life last year as cameras followed them around on a plush visit to the US.

However, the band revealed earlier this year that they will be taking an indefinite hiatus after their upcoming UK tour, with some of the lads due to go solo.

Speaking to Touch Weekly, Kaneswaran said that he thinks the reality TV show actually turned the quintet against each other instead of uniting them.

The singer and model said: "It caused problems. We kind of lost our sense of team. It became every man for themselves...I want them to be happy in whatever they do. I support them 100 per cent."
