Jay McGuiness doesn't see The Wanted reuniting any time soon

Jay McGuiness has admitted the chances of The Wanted reforming are unlikely.

The group split in 2014 after releasing three studio albums.

A number of their members have since gone on to work in different areas, with McGuiness recently winning the latest Strictly Come Dancing series.

Speaking to Digital Spy, the singer said that there is no chance of The Wanted reuniting any time soon.

McGuiness said: "Maybe in the future, but there's no ambition amongst any of us to do that at the minute.

"We've always been in each other's lives and loved what we did. And in the future, maybe, if it feels right. But no - not really."

The amateur dancer added that he doesn't want to emulate bandmate Nathan Sykes and release his own music.

McGuiness said: "I really liked being in a band. Even though I love music and listening to music, I don't have anything in me that I want to push out on anyone at the minute."
