The Wanted given award to celebrate going platinum in the US

The Wanted have been presented with an award to celebrate their single 'Glad You Came' going platinum in the States.

The song helped propel the band into the bigtime in the US and it has now sold over a million copies.

The band were given an award on stage at a radio event to celebrate their achievement. Speaking about the feat, Nathan Sykes said:

"Thank you so much. Thank you to the label as well and every one who's worked on this out here. They're the reason this has gone so well, and you guys as well."

As previously reported, The Wanted have confirmed the release date of their debut American album. The album - which will be self-titled - will be released to the masses on April 24.
