The Wanted star Nathan Sykes has joked that they will kill any rival boybands who try to steal their fans.

The 19-year-old, whose band performed at yesterday’s Capital Summertime Ball, made the comment after being asked by Entertainmentwise backstage whether there are too many boybands around at the moment:

He replied: “There is enough and I think we are equally spread out across the genres we could be.

“So if anybody tries stealing any of our fans, we will have to kill them!”

Also speaking at the event, Jay McGuinness told the Daily Mirror that he formed an unlikely bromance with Stevie Wonder at the recent Billboard Music Awards:

"Stevie said he'd heard of us and that was good enough for me.

“The highlight of the trip for me was that I got to hold his hand. It wasn't in a romantic way - just when we were having the pictures taken. We'd love to sort out a collaboration."
