The Wanted have revealed that they are considering writing an autobiography.

The British boyband have enjoyed a successful 2012 - a year which saw them break America and perform on shows such as American Idol.

It seems they could be about to put pen to paper and write a book on their journey so far to tell fans what it's really like to be in The Wanted.

Speaking to the Daily Star, singer Tom Parker said:

"We did a picture book a couple of years ago and we've spoken about doing a proper autobiography in the last few months. We don't think we are big rock n' roll stars but we would want people to know exactly what goes on in the band."

He continued: "I'm not worried about putting anything in that would get us into trouble. I think people appreciate the fact we would tell the truth. Some people may like that and some people might not but we are not going to lie."
