The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran has put pen to paper on a modelling contract.

The Irish 24-year-old singer has signed up with Next Model Management, who also have the likes of Rita Ora and Lana Del Rey in their ranks.

It marks a return to the industry for Kaneswaran, who previously modelled in Ireland before being scouted for the boyband.

A spokesperson for Next Model told Vogue that they are "excited" to help build the singer's fashion portfolio. They said:

"Next Model Management is delighted to announce the signing of Siva. Undeniably gorgeous, and with a really genuine love of fashion which stems from his history as a model, we are excited to be developing his fashion profile alongside his hugely successful career as part of band The Wanted and look forward to seeing it all unfold on his new TV show, The Wanted Life."
