The Wanted hope to knock Robin Thicke from top of chart

The Wanted reckon it's about time Robin Thicke is dumped from the top of the UK singles chart.

The US singer's track 'Blurred Lines' has been No.1 for four consecutive weeks.

However, British group The Wanted are hoping that their new single 'Walks Like Rihanna' can finally topple the hit song.

Siva Kaneswaran told Digital Spy: "I think it's Top 5 now, so we just need to wait and see how the week moves on. It's always great to be Top 5. I think if it stays consistently well, we can beat [Robin Thicke]. He needs to be knocked off!

The singer continued: "We get into the charts and we're always up against somebody. If I'm honest I think that we're very lucky. Not many boybands get to the Top 5 with every single. We're not trying to prove anything, we just want to make good music. If we get to number one then great, but it could be so much worse."

The Wanted have two No.1 UK singles under their belts - 2010's 'All Time Low' and 2011's 'Glad You Came'.
