The Wanted have released details of their forthcoming new album.

The British-Irish boyband will unleash their third studio effort 'Word of Mouth' on September 16.

It follows up previous records 'The Wanted' and 'Battleground', with both albums achieving top five positions in the UK chart.

Revealing the news on Twitter, The Wanted said: "We are really excited to announce our brand new album is called #WordOfMouth and will be released on September 16th!!"

They added: "We can't wait for you to hear it we know you've been really patient but hopefully you'll think it's worth the wait!! #WordOfMouth."

The group also revealed more details about their forthcoming single, posting: "Also our new single #WeOwnTheNight will be out WORLDWIDE on August 11th we're shooting the video this week, can't wait :) #WordOfMouth."
