The Wanted put new reality series on hold

Fans hoping see a new series of The Wanted's reality TV series may have to wait a little longer as a result of the group's new album.

The British-Irish boyband starred in their first ever US series The Wanted Life earlier this year, which documented the lads in Los Angeles.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Max George admitted that the group's forthcoming new album 'Word of Mouth' - which will hit shelves on November 4 - has put a second series of the show on hold. He said:

"We were going to start shooting this month but we’re on tour, then we’ve got the new album promotion to do. We bumped into one of the execs in LA the other day and they’re really excited to do a second season."

The singer added: "But to get a crew to follow us all the time on tour would cost a lot, and people want to see the normal stuff as well as the work side on tour."

George also admitted that the group's members sometimes received criticism for the series, saying:

"We all had negative comments but I think it came across as pretty accurate. We’d all watch it back and say: ‘I can’t believe I did that,’ as some of it was a bit embarrassing, but often I’d watch and think: ‘The boys are really funny'."
